The Philadelphia Orchestra

kimmel.jpgI have this ever-growing list of places and things that I want to see and do in Philadelphia.  A list of things that I seem to check off the list at a snail’s pace because “they’ll always be there”.  One of those things was seeing the Philadelphia Orchestra.  And while I have been inside of the Kimmel Center, I’ve never seen a performance there.  Well, yesterday was my birthday and I finally got to see the Philadelphia Orchestra at the Kimmel Center!  They performed Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8 in F Major, Op. 93 and Wagner’s Excerpts from Die Meistersinger von Numberg.  The acoustics and design of the Kimmel Center are amazing.  We had great seats and it was an amazing performance and I wouldn’t mind going again in the future.  (Pardon the crappy camera phone photo)

My calendar reminded me this morning that your birthday was two days ago. Happy belated birthday!
