I, too, hope you feel better soon. As for the IV, I've never had one but I've certainly had to have plenty of blood taken over the course of my life, frequently for Lyme's tests. The last time I did, the nurse stuck my left arm three arms before switching arms and finally tapping the vein. Those three mistakes left me with quite a bruised elbow.
