John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove

A couple of weeks ago, I made a trip out to the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove in….(surprise)…Audubon, Pennsylvania.  I visited some of the trails a few years ago, but had never actually taken a tour of the Center, itself, which is the first home of John James Audubon.  It was really incredible to see so many Audubon prints all in one place and even the life-sized prints in the elephant folio of Birds of America.  There’s even a bird rehabilitation center on the property where I was able to see several species of owls and other raptors.  Everything was fresh and lush from a rain on the previous day so the colors in the autumn colored foliage provided for some amazing photo opportunities!
