Great pics along with great reporting. I just visited the Salton Sea over the weekend for my first time. I also didnt get to spend as much time there as I had hoped so I am heading back there in a week or two. I only briefly heard about the Salton Sea last week. I stopped in the Anza Borrego State Park and took a lot of pictures, but unfortunately that took away from my time at the Salton Sea. Keep shooting.

Of all the days so far on your trip, this set is by far my favorite. Great color saturations, reminds me of chrome film. Amazing subject matter, well done!
