For those who didn’t know, the Free Library of Philadelphia is currently having a festival. Tomorrow, Joe Queenan, writer for the New York Times and several large magazines will be talking about his book, Closing Time, a memoir about growing up in Philadelphia’s East Falls housing project. One additional tidbit is that my photo is on the cover of the book!
Information about the talk:
Sunday, April 19 @ 1pm. FREE.
Parkway Central Library, 1901 Vine Street

One of my photos was recently used in a flyer for YMCA Metro Chicago.

So apparently a white tailed deer went charging through the window of a local hair salon somewhere here in the eastern Pennsylvania area. A friend shared the story with me, which is worth the read, but the supporting photo is mine. And it just made me have a good laugh. Have a look at the article. LINK
I’ve had some stuff in print over the last couple of months and finally decided to post them here…
The most recent is the use of my water damaged letter photo in the current (December 2007) issue of Photoshop User Magazine. The photo was used in an article about making your own brushes in Adobe Photoshop.

Back in October, I wrote an article about environmental education through photography. I had written about using my photography to support the efforts of Natural Lands Trust and how the photo was going to be published in County Lines magazine. My photo of Binky Lee Preserve in Chester County, Pennsylvania was used in an article about the victories of preserving open space in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Northern Delaware.

And my photo of whom everyone has been calling “the iPod girl” was on the back cover of the Philadelphia Where Magazine in October in an ad for a Caribbean Restaurant in West Philly.
