Never released footage of Lukas, everyone’s favorite cat!

I haven’t really posted many old photos, but I wanted to do so today. This is my best model: Luka. He is my little chantilly/tiffany cat. And a very furry one at that. This time of the year is never a fun one for him because he sheds a lot…and as the result of his persistent cleaning, he has gotten sick a lot lately. Poor little guy.
Today was a difficult day. We took the abandoned cat (who was to be named Brady) to the animal clinic to be checked. He was FIV positive…probably contracted while living on the streets because it was obvious he had been through some rough brawls even though he was a big tom cat (who had not been fixed)…and only about 4 years old. He could have lived a decent life with FIV, but he had some major teeth issues and possibly other issues that probably would have been too critical for him. So poor Brady is in kitty heaven now. And no matter how much you try not to get attached to an animal, it still hurts just as much…even if they aren’t even your own yet. But we know that we did the right thing. He had a few days of love and a sweet boy and who knows what would have happened to him if no one had found him.
I am very thankful that we were able to have Green Street Animal Rescue offer to help us if Brady needed any vet care. They foster out and care for pets that need homes. They take animals to the clinic every week who need care and homes. And Kathy, who runs the organization is a sweet, caring woman herself.
So many thanks to the animal rescue, all of you who have been giving Brady your thoughts, and my friend Valerie who was my other helping hand for this guy and shoulder to cry today.

My friend works for a building leasing company and they found a cat that someone abandoned in an apartment when they moved out. I can’t see how anyone could just leave an animal. We went to see the cat a couple of days ago and to make sure that it had food and water. We went back again today and it was happy to see us and have some visitors. The cat is a ragdoll breed and a big old boy. We aren’t sure of his age, but he looks to be an older cat. We aren’t sure of his health status either. He definitely has some teeth issues, possibly some digestive and/or bladder issues, and maybe lymphatic lumps. He definitely needs bathed and shaved. Anyway, we found a foster cat organization that is willing to pay for any vet care that the cat needs. So we’re taking him tomorrow. He’s a really sweet, affectionate, talkative cat. He’s also cross-eyed! I really hope that he’s going to be ok.
Here are some pictures of the big guy. We had fed him some wet food right before these photos were taken so pardon the gravy on his beard!
