Frozen River

CharlieWhen I started working on film sets, I worked with this kid named Charlie McDermott. I did some head shots for him a couple of years ago.

Charlie had a small role in M. Night Shyamalan’s The Village in 2004 just by chance. Since then, he’s been grabbing more roles in films such as The Ten and Disappearances. His latest appearance is a big role in Frozen River as the son of Melissa Leo. It won the Grand Jury Prize at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. It’s been released throughout the country and is being released in Philadelphia this coming Friday. Go check it out!

All Along movie poster

As I previously posted the other day, last night was the local premiere of All Along, which I worked on two years ago in Delaware. There was a pretty big turnout of over 300 people. I was really surprised when the production company presented me with this huge awesome framed display of the movie poster that was made using my still photos of the film. It’s about 2 feet x 4 feet. They had it signed by Krista Allen who played one of the lead roles in the film. I grabbed most of the crew and actors who were there last night and had them sign it, too. A big surprise! Thanks, guys!

Movies for the Week

I’m a week into recovery from my surgery and only 2 days to go before I have the stents removed!…or at least I hope so.

Because I can’t really do much, I’ve spent a great deal of time catching up on some of the films that I’ve wanted to see (and re-watch some others).  In fact, I ran out of movies to watch and even had to increase the number of movies that I get from Netflix at one time.  Netflix sure is awesome when you can’t get out of the house.

I’ve become a bit of a snob when it comes to movies.  Creativity really seems to be declining when it comes to all angles of filmmaking.  And I’d have to say that most of the movies I’ve watched in the last week have been crap.  Anyway, here’s this week’s list so far.
