Really beautiful photos - and what a wonderful place! I was excited to see that you had visited and photographed Canyon de Chelly. I lived and worked on the Navajo Nation not far from there in Shiprock, NM and made a couple of trips to Canyon de Chelly, one of which included spending the night through some unseasonal rain showers in my car in the parking lot on the south rim near Spider Rock just so that I would be sure (I'm not good at getting up at the crack of dawn or earlier) to get some photos of Spider Rock as the sun came up. Showers and haze (not the kind of fog/mist we photographers hope for) lingered on through most of the morning so the photos (film) I took weren't spectacular. However, I'll never forget the combined feelings of peacefulness and exhilaration from my time there. The drive to and from Shiprock, NM through places like Tsaile, Lukachukai, along Red Rock Hwy./Indian Route 13 across the Chuska Mtn. range and past Shiprock Pinnacle is pretty spectacular too. I look forward to going back there someday. Thanks for sharing your photos.
