Artists Light-Up Literacy

Please join me on May 14 from 6-9pm at Artists Light-Up Literacy, an art market & auction fundraiser for the York County Literacy Council. I will be selling a variety of my paintings and photographs that will benefit the YCLC.

The Literacy Council offers English literacy programs for adults and families, enabling them to become more productive at home, in the workplace and the community.

Ignite Philly 3

The 3rd Ignite Philly will be happening at Johnny Brenda’s next Saturday, May 2.  Ignite Philly is an event that provides an opportunity for people to give 5 minute presentations about something new and innovative that they are doing in Philadelphia.  The upcoming Ignite Philly will include a bunch of scientists, artists, entertainers and more!

I will be giving a talk at this upcoming Ignite Philly on behalf of the Philadelphia Grid Project.  If you’ve been following my blog, you have seen some of my photos from the project.  The talk will include some information about the project with a display of 20 of the members’ photos that have been taken for the project over the course of the last 16 months.

I attended the last Ignite Philly and it was awesome.  The event will be jammed packed so get there early to assure a good spot in the house (it’s on the 2nd floor of JB’s)!  Here is the information and the Ignite Phillywebsite!  The event is FREE!

The Work is Up!

I recently wrote about the art exhibit at Fleisher Art Memorial where I will have my woodcut pieces.  I was able to exhibit two pieces: a proof print of my Philadelphia scene (not for sale) and there’s an edition print of the motel woodcut.  I am printing 50 editions of this woodcut.  The first of the editions is on display and available for purchase at the Fleisher Art exhibit now through April 25.
