I have been doing a lot of painting since the beginning of the year. Last year I began with watercolors, but I took a year-long hiatus from that. Now I am back at it again, but I am starting to evolve into mixed media as well. Last year I was learning a lot about painting washes and how the paints worked while painting a few plants here and there. This year I am experimenting with a more abstract style. I've found it to be quite therapeutic when dealing with anxiety that has plagued me for most of my life. I don't think that anyone needs to be an artist to find therapy in it. It doesn't need to be technically perfect, but if it makes you happy--DO IT!
