Today the Obama campaign released “Obama ‘08,” an application for the iPhone. The app is designed to encourage Obama supporters to call their contacts, and keep track of how they plan to vote. Additionally, news about the candidate can be found on a national and local level, as well as using your location to show upcoming campaign events.
Regardless of your political stance, the app marks, an innovative and smart way to keep people enthused about the campaign. Here’s a look at our quick video overview:
from here to there!
If you’re not already registered to vote, GET ON IT! The deadline is approaching fast and you can even register online! The deadlines for voter registration are as follows:
Pennsylvania: October 6
Delaware: October 11
New Jersey: October 14
If you don’t live in these states, you can view the list of deadlines for voter registration by state here.
In addition, if you live in Pennsylvania and need to obtain an absentee ballot, you can do so by downloading the application for an absentee ballot or finding out more information here.
There’s a free Springsteen concert this Saturday in Philadelphia in support of Obama. It’s free for Pennsylvania residents and students, but you have to register for a ticket!

Reverie
I guess I’ve got something to write. If you haven’t already seen Reverie, the video made with the video capabilities of the soon-to-be-released Canon 5D Mark ii, you must check it out. I drool every time I watch it. And that would be at least once a day.
I’ve got nothing
I have nothing to share today. But I do have one question for my readers:
IgnitePhilly
Last Tuesday, September 23, was the second IgnitePhilly event at Johnny Brenda’s. IgnitePhilly is a series of speakers that give a short 5 minute presentations about the innovative and inspiring projects. I had missed the first one a few months ago when I was out of town so I’m glad that I was able to catch this event and run into some friends who I hadn’t seen in a while.

There was a brief intermission with 8static, a group of artists who bring you incredible, danceable 8bit tunes and imagery!

And we all got to make and throw paper airplanes courtesy of Far McKon! Aerogami!

Canon is sponsoring a photo contest called “Photography in the Parks”. You can submit a photo of a National or State park for the chance to win some awesome gear *ahem…5D*, an exciting trip for two to a participating park, and much more. The contest is open to anyone except for those who make 51% or more of their income from photography.
Hurry up and enter because the contest ends on September 30!
